My early list of the 22 starters, in 2007.
Just trying to find something to do, it's not like I am telling the organization what they should do. I'm just checking to see how close I will be to what the starter will be next season. I like checking out the mock drafts, but you can only do that so much.

RE: My early list of the 22 starters, in 2007.
The only unreasonable thing I see here is: Deuce gets traded.
Two backs is quickly becoming the NFL norm. Also Reggie and Deuce have a symbiotic relationship. Both were productive last year because of each other. Reggie still isn't ready to handle the full RB load. His downhill running has improved, but it still can't touch Deuce's ability in that department. Also have you calculated the cap hit for trading Deuce? His contract extension is only 2 years old. He got over $12 million to sign on. It's a 7-8 year extension. So that means that the Saints are still on the hook for $8-$9 million on the cap that accelerates to immediate impact if Deuce is traded. So it'll hurt on the cap to trade him. He's productive. I can't understand the rationale. Please explain? SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

I agree with SFIAH. The duo worked well last year. It kept Deuce on the field all year with no injuries. It also (hopefully) will keep Bush healthy for years to come. Unless it is a blockbuster trade we should not fix what isn't broken.
I wonder what Harper's status is. Has he rehab'd well? Maybe Payton will draft a LT and move Jamal Brown to TE this year? |

I think Payton will draft a CB or LB (Poz) in the first...Then I think he takes a shot at a DT or OG

I don't know if I'm pencilling in Bullocks just yet. He's lost in coverage, misses assignments regularly, & doesn't tackle worth a damn! Trading Deuce would be a mistake, too....a big one. Two backs are better than one. I do like the idea of Danny Clark starting next year though. Every time he was in the game, the guy made a play.

stinchcomb is a Restricted FA, i dont see anyone signing him since they would have to also have to give us a 2nd round pick do to so if we dont match their offer

We play MAN TO MAN, this guy is a safety in the box leaving all the way out just to try to make-up for Thomas' let-downs.
I can't beleive this guy can't tackle in your eyues, that's one of the things you can't ever say abput this guy. He's pretty much a sure tackler who doesn't go for the big hits all the time and plays strong, you must have the wrong guy. |

like I stated already... stinchcomb is a Restricted Free Agent which means if any team signs him and we dont match then we get their 2nd round pick in exchange
