Crosby looked horrible in the College All Stars challenge today, homeboys from UCLA and Auburn looked better

While I agree that there are more important things to look at in the first round than kickers, I would also like to pose you with this question...... Who is the all time leading scorer for the New Orleans Saints? If you know the answer, then you also know that our wins and losses record would be more towards "losses" if we hadn't had him for all of those years. Between him, and the "Dome Patrol", we had alot of great regular season records, when we were in the West.
Kickers are more important, than people want to admit. Especially in these, the days of free agency. Great teams, like the 70s Pittsburgh Steelers, the 80s 49ers, and the 90s Dallas Cowboys, with their score at will offenses are a thing of the past for the most part. Games are becoming less, and less, blowouts, due to parody in the NFL, and a great kicker is not only an asset, but a Godsend. Many a game, has been won, on the foot of one player. We as Saints fans should know this already, thanks to M.A. |
