With the 26th selection, The Eagles choose Troy Smith QB Ohio State. 6'1, 215. With McNabb's health and Garcia's availablity in question, Smith is an ideal choice for the Eagles. The Heisman trophy winner is unafraid, dangerous on the run and has an accurate, strong arm. If Troy Smith can prove to be a great pro quarterback, he's definately heir to the throne.

the pseudo matt millen is scratching his head over the selection. I like Troy Smith as a mid to late 2nd rounder

To be honest, Smith was my 3rd QB choice. Russell and Quinn were already taken, but he's solid. IMO better than the others remaining

If you have both Garcia and McNabb why would ya? and if Garcia wants a new job then I wouldn't think this to be a bad move.

I agree but man that was a reach. but I doubt he would have made through the second for them to pick him. or maybe he would. safer is better than sorry I guess.

I'm not as high on Ross as so many people are... and I mean a lot. Every board I come across people are in love with him. I like Houston better and maybe perhaps Merriweather at corner. He showed in the Senior Bowl he can play the position well. I would rather us wait until the third and select the best available corner left... hopefully a Bennett or Weddle.

Weddle i am having touches of man love with the kid. but we would have to reach in the second or move into the top of the 3rd to get him. CB/S/KR/holder. would love the pick. Even in the second if Jackson was gone.

I REALLY don't think Garcia will be around.

With the way corners are dropping Hagan, I think it's a possibility.
