Who is Likely to Trade Down in the Draft?
2. Detroit Lions - I can see them trading down a couple of places
6. Washington Redskins - Almost Has to. This is there only pick on day and they do not have a 4th. 19 Tennessee Titans I can see them open to trading down. Thats if WR is the key draft target. 22 Dallas Cowboys if-ie at best. depends on how the draft falls. I am hoping we can some way jump to dallas or tennesse's spot to get the choice of players we want to "fill a need" and are "the best players available". |

RE: Who is Likely to Trade Down in the Draft?
I don't really know how I feel about moving up in the draft. I can see it from both ways.
Don't Move Up: - We have all seen what Payton can do with the guys that he gets later in the draft (Jahri Evans, Colston, Strief). I don't know if we want to be trading these picks away. - Is there really anybody in this draft that we are willing to move UP to get? I don't really see who we would be willing to trade picks for. Maybe Tank Tyler? Leon Hall? I don't really know, this is not a class with many "can't miss" guys, so we might be better served just staying put and drafting best available. - Payton did an even better job last year trading down, not up. We got Hollis Thomas and Jeff Faine by going down not up. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of the same in this draft. Move Up: - We are a pretty solid team that doesn't appear to have holes all over the field, so we might be looking for quality of picks instead of quantity (thus making some of our picks expendable) Glaring holes are at CB and perhaps DT or MLB. Depending how the combine and personal workouts go, if our coaches fall in love with a single guy, I could see us moving up. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. |

I think Payton will trade up this year because the draft this year is not loaded with talent. I think we pick up CB or LB.

I think Buffalo will move down in the draft.

Well, who will be looking to get a late first rounder? How about the Browns? Bucs? maybe even the Falcons? We could get a key veteran player and an extra number 2, and we know how much Payton loves those later rounds.
