almost 9 million for 1 yr? i can think of at least two players i'd rather pay that kinda money to than grant.............but, as i said before..........i'll give him another yr........this may be the ,,,,"all things work together for the good" year that we make that superbowl run............ we certainly could do a lot worse..........but, could we do better? at least a maybe enters my mind........ i do sleep better with payton at the helm...............smitty |

The question is ? Will Grant play with the same intensity that he's played with his whole career or will he go in the tank because he's been tag ? Remember, the last thing he wanted was to be franchised. I just hope it don't affect him in any way and he can sign a long contract.

I don't see how it would work to his advantage to tank it this season. Besides the fact that we've possibly turned the corner as far as being a contender, it would only hurt his value for next years free agency period if he's perceived as someone who tanks.
I think we'll still get a deal done before the season, but if it doesn't get done I still think he'll play hard. |

He is always great against the run and chasing after the QB, no matter if he catches him or not. He seems to always been one of the top D-linemen against the run.
