RE: AB
He should take a year off and re-evaluate himself as a football player. It's embarrassing watching him play football on Sundays.

All we need to do is re-structure his contact and sign him as Brees' back up. It'll be nice to have him back on the team and give us some solid depth at QB which is an area that is suspect after Brees...sike!

I'm a Brooks fan, the guy never was as bad as it seemed, his last couple of years with the Saints he was plagued by to many dropped passes, bad route running, and predictable play calling. With the Raiders, Brooks wasn't the worst part of that offense, that entire offense was horrible, just horrible. Don't get me wrong he also have his faults as well, lacks of concentration, ill advise passes, and questionable leadership skills, but you can say that about a few QB's in the NFL. Some team will take a chance on the kid, and i just hope he can rebound from Hurricane Katrina and Oakland. Man, i don't wish those last two years on nobody, N-O-B-O-D-Y!!!!!!!!!!

I would really like to see AB get signed by the Panthers. After all the years that AB was with our wonderful team I would really love for our defense to smash his face in on the field, and with the decaying JD there is that slight chance that AB COULD be a starter by the time we play the Panthers. YAY!!!! INTs GALORE

The problem with signing Brooks as a backup is that he still thinks of himself as a starter. I'm sure he feels that the lack of production in Oakland was anybody's fault but his - the same as it never was his fault when the Saints offense had a terrible day while he was here.
The last thing we need is a lockerroom cancer running his mouth. I'd be surprised if AB gets a starting job next year. Ideally you would have a backup with starting experience who doesn't act up like Jeff Garcia. We won't have that luxury. But backup QB isn't the biggest need position. |

The Raiders have gotten rid of Art Shell and Aaron Brooks in a matter of weeks, and at this rate they're the most improved team in the NFL in my book.
