It has been 20 years since the Saints did what we Orleanians we hoping for: a winner.

No offense, Joe, but it was you I was talking about.

I guess that comment was just a remnant of some joking that used to go around here 2 or 3 years back.

Sometimes I miss that old gang, but not the headaches they could cause.

Curious, wasn't that the year of the strike? I thought we had replacement players in that year. I'm old too, so maybe I'm thinking of something else.

God was that a great year. I think it was even more special than last. only the superbowl will top it. You had to live through it. bags and all.

I have always thought, how cool it would be, for the Saints to go back to the ol 3-4 defense. It just seemed to work better for us, back in the day. I watch the Bears, Steelers, and Ravens use it, and it just seems more effective to me. Maybe I'm on an island on this one.
