this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Then in the next very next post your all defending your \"barely did it\" wins over a developing champion as \"A win is a win, brotha. I don\'t recall any asterisks next to the score\" Oh the hilarity of it ...

Bucs fans worried about Conwell
***EDIT*** I don’t like the name “Batwood, so I’m going to call you “Susie. It’s ok, I refer to all Succs fans that I talk football with by female names. I think it’s appropriate, in that we did beat you twice and made you our b!tches. So far, Susie, you managed to come here and spew nothing worthwhile, other than your feeble attempts at “poking the caged animal. But I’ll bite, since I’m bored. Seriously, I’ve gotten more constructive info from the hobo I kick every morning on my way to work. If idiotic banter was chicken, Susie here would be KFC. Plenty of extra-crispy, overcooked nuggets for all. Ok, Susie, let me go over this with some information that you might understand. I’ll try to go as slow as possible so not to confuse you. The teams that the Saints beat last year in the regular season held a combined record of 81-62, which is an average of 9-7 per team. The teams that the Succs beat last year in the regular season held a combined record of 82-108-2, which is an average of 7-9. The youth that we had on both sides of the ball showed during the games that we played lesser opponents. This leads me and plenty of others in believing that the Saints ran an unfortunate trend of looking ahead past other teams to the big games, and not taking it one week at a time. I know that the Succs, Packers, Giants, 49ers, and Eagles ALL breathed a sigh of relief when the Falcons made it to the playoffs and the Saints did not. It’s ok, you don’t have to admit it, I don’t think that I would be able to myself if the roles were reversed. The championship may be blinding for you at times, but I am nowhere near convinced that the best teams made it to the playoffs last year. But that’s the game of football, it’s why we play the games instead of filling in the scorecard. Just know this- the Saints still have the young, talented nucleus that we had a year ago (only with one year more experience) as well as the addition of a faster defense. Now that I think of it, I hate Tampa. It was quite easy for me to hate the football team as well. A city that will forever live in the shadow of the top dog in the state, Miami. No real comparison between New Orleans and Tampa, we party more, we have better food, and we play better football. Tampa has given us the Succs and Hulk Hogan. For that alone, go DIE! Better yet, go here: www.bucnup.com There you can play with all you Succs buddies, pull each others puds, and talk about how great it is to be a Succs fan. I’m sure Bucnup would welcome you with open arms. Seeyah later Susie, next time I want my shirt pressed and chicken pot pie ready for me when I see you. [Edited on 7/7/2003 by BlackandBlue] |

Good morning, good to see that this thread is still on the first page even though I\'ve been off the net since last thursday. Oh, and LordOfEntropy, you go right ahead and keep those creative insults going, good job! You see this BB stuff is really just entertainment and you are playing the role well unlike some of the thinned skinned weenies here that get thier undies in a bunch over some good ol\' rival off-season bantering. BlackandBlue, You want to fantisize about me being your girlfriend go ahead knock yourself out, whatever it takes I guess. Kind of off-topic to start the \"my city is better than yours\" smak but when you have the Saints as your team I understand. Great thing is regardless of what the Bucs do this season, repeat or not, we are Champs. You go and keep convincing yourself of the Saints greatness using opponant record stats of other teams and arbitrary reg. season games, You gotta reach for something in that horrid bag of history. Man the off-season is boring. |
\"I don\'t think he has many tools on offense that he actually likes,\" says Randy Mueller, former Saints GM. Wait until he gets his own players. Watch out.\"

Batwood,
You think Lord was creative? B&B seemed to be pretty damn creative to me!! Keep going though. So far your loosing---BIG TIME !!!! Another thing. You seem to be under the dilusion that because the Bucs won the championship last year, that they are the champs this year. WRONG!! You can look at it any way you want but that ring means nothing this year. If you can prove to me that it does, one of us will be fooled. [Edited on 7/7/2003 by BillyCarpenter1] |

The funniest thing about this thread is how he avoided replying to lumm0x\'s post.

Actually just to add to my post....I\'d like Batwood to review the stats from the games last year and please tell me how many rushing yards the Bucs racked up against our porous run D. Then please look at what Deuce did against your #1 D. Keep in mind that this was Deuce\'s first start and then his bad ankle games. If I\'m not mistaken Deuce outrushed your offense 2 to 1. What are you bragging about with that comment?
I\'m not taking anything away from your big season, congradulations on winning it all. But to brag about Alstott running all over us is idiotic. If you call 6 carries for 11 yds in game 1 and 8 for 17 in game 2 carving us up then you\'re really reaching buddy. |
