The Saints are looking into the possibility of signing Grant Wistrom. It would be solely for depth and an added pass rusher. He would not be asked to come in and be an every down player, just someone who could spell Grant and Smith for a while. I think it has to be somewhat tempting for Wistrom...to play part time, save his body, and contribute to a team with legitimate Super Bowl aspirations.
That being said, i dont know the level of interest on Wistrom's part, but it is something the Saints are interested in. Just keeping you guys on the lookout. |
It's all in the reflexes.

Good stuff as always Boba... he would make a very nice 3rd DE if he chose to come here and be a situational guy. Hopefully, he's within reasonable price range.

I could have sworn this guy had said he was done with football, saved up the money he made playing, and has accomplished everything he wanted in his career especially getting that elusive Superbowl ring. Apparently he wanted to go and coach High School football or something like that.
Nonetheless, I hope he changes his mind, he would be a great addition to the team and provide some additional veteran insight on Defense. The pay shouldn't mount to much since everyone knows his numbers have declined, but you just can't forget the Post Season experience this guy has had with three trips to the big dance. |

Was a ferocious pass rusher at one time. Still has the skills on a limited basis. Sign him!
