this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; He's pretty good, but not as good as he seems to think he is. That said for the right price I'd love to see the team add some deapth at OLB....

WhoDat, I believe Ellis is a DE converted to a LB due to Parcells shifting to a 3/4 defense. As I recall he was not happy about being shifted to LB in the first place.

Oh, BTW, I found this nugget.....
Cowboys OLB Greg Ellis (Achilles' tear)
Ellis, who is the favorite to start over first-round pick Anthony Spencer, began light running in early March. He could struggle to stay healthy this season coming off an injury that frequently lingers. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/fea...rticleid=28336 |

Well our coaching staff knows him, thats for sure. If we did pick him up he would join the growing list of NFC east misfits that have been added to the team. Sean knows how to turn another teams trash into a tressure from that conference. I would trust him on the move just because of the NFC east conection alone. He has coached in that division for years. He has not let us down yet. So roll with it
