$1.5 mill seems reasonable, but I realistically do not see us picking him up.

Payton scooped up Clancy as soon as he was available, which tells me that he is sold on the guy. A 4 man rotation would be a luxury

Then again, only Meachem is unsigned, and we just cleared some money with Lewis and Whitehead, so we should know exactly where we stand against the cap.

Payton knew Marion Hobby coached Clancy at Ole Miss...so Clancy wasn't all that much of a mystry! Hobby most likely pitched Clancy to Payton!

I don't know if anyone is pulling for Walker like Hobby was most likely doing for Clancy.

If this lasts untill 2 weeks of training camp,our present dt's will have had more time to earn or lose their spot.also,the condition he is in will have large impact on payton's interest.

If Sean wants to add another NFC East defensive player than by all means do so. He has done a great job selecting players from that division so far. If Walker wants to much money then he may go the way Clancy did. Play for someone else then when they relize it was a mistake to pay them that much up front, we can scoop them up from thier reject pile.
