The show came on the NFL channel and the people they interviewed were ex-players, commentators, reporters, and such. San Francisco 49'ers ex-RB Roger Craig said, if the Saints had a offense when the Dome Patrol played they would have won two or three Superbowls, he also said he hated playing against the Saints because they were so violent, nothing against the Giants they were great but the Saints Linebackers were destructive and brutal. See for yourselves, it's a real nice look at our boys

note: The show repeat times.

THU. 1:00pm; 5:00pm

The only reason they ranked #1 was because of Sam Mills.

You must have never seen the Dome Patrol in action? The heart and soul of that defense was Ricky Jackson, but the reason why they ranked them #1 was because of the play of all four guys, period.

Is anyone here familiar with Wikipedia? If so, I noticed that the "Dome Patrol" has not gotten their due. That is to say, there is not an article about them. Each member of the DP has an individual article, however, the corp as a whole does not. I would think that now would be as good a time as any to write an article about the DP, especailly considering their recent accolades. I believe I can write the article, but I need some help putting some sources together. The following facts would have to be included: 1) The years the corp was completely intact. 2) The fact that the entire squad started the Pro-Bowl (I believe that had never happen, or has since been accomplished). 3) The total number of Pro-Bowls between all members, both with the Saints and career. 4) The recent accolade of being named the #1 LB corp of all-time.

Anyone else care to add to this, or have any sources for documentation purposes?

It's great to see these guys get the respect and recognition they deserve. Excuse me, I'm having flashbacks of the mayhem and destruction caused by the Dome Patrol on sunday's. WOW!!! What a rush.

Just finished watching the program and thought there was no way they could put The Dome Patrol #1 against the Steelers of the 70's and Giants of the early 90's. I thought maybe 5 or 6, because all those other corps won rings, but after watching the Dome Patrol again, and how the Saints had ZERO help for them on Offense or DL and DB they really ARE the best LBs. No other team had 4 LBs start in the pro Bowl, and the fact that none of them are getting any talk as Hall Of Fame is a disgrace to Pro Football.

BINGO! They basically did it all. ALONE. I remember our offensive coordinator was Carl Smith. TALK ABOUT UNIMAGINATIVE AND BORING!! Oh yeah and WAAAAAY too conservative. The only other part of our team that was CONSISTENTLY effective during those years was......Morten Andersen. Those 4 basically made all offenses one-dimensional which made it easy pickings for the secondary. They deserve to be number one without question.

I would like (for a minute), for the Nation of the Black & Gold to just imagine; close your eyes and imagine, this offense with the Dome Patrol defense. We're talking about Brees, McAllister, Bush, Colston, and that extremely underrated O-line paired with Jackson, Mills, Swilling, Johnson, Warren, Wilks, Geathers, and the rest of that DOMINATING defense. Man, all I can see or say is, SUPERBOWL, SUPERBOWL, SUPERBOWL. Oh yes, one more word comes to mind. DYNASTY!
