NFL Network.....
The NFL Network has been doing a series of Top 10's lately. They've had Top 10 RB's, Top 10 feuds, Top 10 draft steals, so on and so forth. I just saw a commercial for the next one and its the Top 10 linebacking corps. Now....we ALL know darn well our precious Dome Patrol will be on that list. But where do you think they will fall? The only corp to make the pro bowl all the same year but....no championships. What do you guys think??
I'm gonna guess 3 just because of the lack of SB. |

I think #1 and even though I am biased I think the best argument is what you already mentioned.
There are many, many LB Corps that have SB championship, but there is only ONE that has EVER had all four starters in the pro bowl. Also, that's not just all THREE starters, that's four. Like I said, I know I am biased for them, but that seems like a pretty strong argument in favor of them being number one. However, counting on the bias against small markets in the media, 3 may be a pretty good guess. They'll probably put the '85 Bears up there because of Singletary. |

I placed the Giants over the Saints, due to LT. Rickey was disruptive. LT was destructive. Fools didn't want to catch the ball around him, and involuntarily turned their body away while carrying the ball.
The only other LB I've seen come close to having that effect was Ray Lewis in his prime. Well, maybe Lambert? It ain't Urlacher. I've seen plenty RBs attempt to truck him, and a rookie Matrix taunted him. Players really didn't do that to LT and Lewis. |

I believe in my heart that the Saints are the #1 Linebacking corp ever without a doubt. But they probably won't be #1 on the show because of the lack of respect, they'll acknowledge that they were great but never put them in their rightful place at the top. It's Ricky Jackson all over again, they acknowledge he was great, but, there's always a but when it comes to our great warriors, and it's a shame. Well, the Top Ten Linebacking Corps comes on today at 8 'O' clock, so we'll find out how much respect we receive from the so-called experts.

Dome Patrol #1 Linebacking Corp....
The Dome Patrol were rated the #1 rated Linebacking corp over the likes of LT and his Giants, Mike Singletary and his Bears, Willie Lanier and his Chiefs and everybody else on the list.
Congragulation: Ricky Jackson, Pat Swilling, Sam Mills, and Vaughn Johnson, you guys finally got your well deserving credit. |
