Lance Briggs?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; No interest in trading any players. We could offer picks for Briggs, if Benson would like to write a fat bonus check. We could also trade up for a top tier LB prospect in the draft. Drafting a DT would ...

No interest in trading any players. We could offer picks for Briggs, if Benson would like to write a fat bonus check. We could also trade up for a top tier LB prospect in the draft. Drafting a DT would allow us to seek a better mid-priced FA OLB than Shanle. I'd take the cheaper options, and keep our core players happy.

I don't see why Meachem is maligned at all.

I was referring to him coming to camp out of shape then getting hurt and not really seeing any practice time this offseason.

Understood. Many in forums are downing him. Colston also came with some extra pounds, and we were aware of Meachem's knee condition before the draft. Holt just had the same surgery, and should be ready for PS games. I'm not directing this to you.

Definitely agree...and for the record I voted that I was not interested in Briggs. I was just trying to come up with reasons that players might be tradable.

I think Meacham is going to be really good. I loved watching him last year when he destroyed Cal.

One thing I do worry about is Reggie bolting to a big market. I worry abouy his future with the team much more than Deuce's.

Zero interest in Briggs.

Our LB's improved throughout last year and were great by the end of the year. Then we add a starter and some depth. Then we improve our defensive backfield, which makes the entire front 7 better.

I don't think he is needed or worth the money.

Who is Lance Briggs

Sorry, but I feel no linebacker right now is even worthy of a trade for any of our offensive starters, now on the other hand if we could get a nice speedy receiver, for a Shanle, or Simmons, that would be sweet. Or how about trading for Romo, sending him to Texans for all of their draft picks .
God I HATE those COB-BOYS.
