Re: State your favorite......
MLB Brian Simmons, because that is a big weakness on our defense and he is so instinctive and physical in the middle. Simmons immediately improves our defense and strengthens the once weak middle.
CB Jason David , for all the obvious reasons, even if Freddie T. regains his form, I still would like to see David as the starter. I think Thomas would help the Saints more in the nickel and dime packages. S Kevin Kaesviharn, the guy is a absolute ball hawk, and I just don't trust Bullocks, period. |

Since Black went Defense, I'll go Offense (and one ST)
Eric Johnson This could be Brees's favorite new target. I like our other guys, but this could be a great option for our already explosive offense. Can you say Antonio Gates? David Patten With so much youth in our receiving corps, having another decorated veteran helps bring stability, competition and leadership to one of the most talented groups of WR in the league. Olindo Mare With the way our defense can stretch a drive, could you imagine if the opposition ALWAYS had to start from their own 20?? |

Our fifth rounder David Jones and Chris Reis. I like their athletic abilities and what they can bring to our special teams unit. Those other guys are locks for the team.

I think some of the Big FA signings like David, Simmons, Mare and KK are locks to make the team. I'm rooting for all the new guys, but specifically:
Alleman - I love his nasty, take no BS attitude and think he's going to be a great replacement for Nesbit in a few years. Young - I really like his freakish athleticism and he has the brains, too. McKenzie is not getting any younger. D'hani Jones - He's shown the ability to be a very good OLB in the past. He's smart and well-spoken enough to be an ambassadore for the team. Really hope he makes it. |
