Hmm, they started later, but all of the major bowl games were Jan.1, not Jan.8.
And the Super Bowl was early-mid January PS it's also too hot for school, but in the ATL we go back tomorrow |

I remember it be pretty darn hot back in the mid-70's when we were going thru two-a-days. And some record breaking heat waves with many days at 100+ just like we have now doing construction work in the early '80's.
The only thing is, back in the day we didn't start school until after Labor Day. They're starting school a month earlier now, so it seems hotter. |
