After reading all of your posts, let me throw out a couple of observations. First of all Drew Bledsoe is not a good credible option, he holds the ball way too long also. He was getting killed in Dallas b/c of that and a lousy OL. Bledsoe absolutely sucks. Jamie Martin may not be the best option for a back up but I have seen him play well for the Rams and if hes playing with our starters I think he can manage the game and not lose it for us. So if he has any gas left in the tank I think he'll be ok for a game or two in relief of Bree's.

Re: Jame Martin...

I'd honestly prefer Bledsoe at this point. I've seen enough of Martin. We know Bledsoe is a statue, but at least our weapons should provide quick outlets for him in a pinch. I don't think Martin can hold up when it gets too hot in the kitchen, and make good decisions anymore. I don't know if he'll even see most of the blitzers during reg season games. I was shot down for hollerin Carr or Joey, during the offseason, but I'd stilll take them. I wonder what the Faiders' plans are for Walter. He's a big, strong armed youngster. What about Orton from the Bears? Let's make a deal?

Re: Jame Martin...

I thought he looked awful. Even if you discount the Aaron Brooks-like fumblitis, holding the ball far too long - his passes still look like wounded ducks. If we actually have to start him - we're done.

I really think he's awful.

Wait a minute - Martin fumbled as he was getting pounded by the defense. Not as he was pumping the ball or just holding the ball looking downfield, ala Aaron Brooks. Don't put the AB stink on Martin.
