Anyone know when the first set of cuts will be? Any other good websites for insider info on the Saints? |

Re: Offensive Line
welcome aboard CBDU25
Yes it is but remeber alot of starters on the OL were held out of the game. What we saw was the a hybrid of first and second team OLs. So to say the RB were at fault is hard to say. Yes rookies have alot to learn but when there are players breaking free where they are suppose to be walled off is not really the RB fault. If they set up in the right position only to find themselves out of position because of a jailbreak. You can not blame them. I came away rather happy with play of the unit at the end of the half. Considering they do not practice in those position much together. Now the mix of third and second stringers leaves me worried. There is alot work to do there, with all the rookies and backups. Lets hope we stay healthy as unit on the OL again this year. The backs will come around. Right now picking up the blitz is the only reason Stecker is still in the mix at RB. He is a FA next year so we will have to see in the next 2 games if another RB can step it up and take his job this year. If so I say he will not make the team. I really like Pierre Thomas to replace him. I am hoping we can keep 6 RB on the roster as long as they pick it up and perform on special teams. Duce, Bush, Pittman, Thomas and both Karney and Dudley. |

Re: Offensive Line
Pittman missed a block on a blitz from Martin's blind side and Martin got leveled. He held onto the ball that time though. I've only watched Saturday's game once and I was watching more of the WRs than o-line, but overall I did not get the impression that it was the RBs not making blocks that was causing pressure. It seemed to me that the pocket was collapsing quickly or the QB held the ball too long.
