Mikes Q&A from his 07/23/2003 collumn says OLB may have biggest competition with best two getting the starting nod regardless of playing left or right. This could mean Rodgers/Allen/Hodge battling it out til opening day. He thinks Hodge could be odd man out. He also says Saints will get more production from TE position which will open it up for the other skilled position players. His pre training camp predictions for the season are:
NFC SOUTH TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (10-6) NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (10-6) CAROLINA PANTHERS (9-7) ATLANTA FALCONS (8-8) SUPER BOWL PICKS ARE NFC..........ST. LOUIS RAMS AFC..........OAKLAND RAIDERS Well at least you can't call him a homer. Does show a lot of respect for the division. Not very likely that any division has every team with a .500 record or better though we shall see. With only 2 wins separating 1st place from 4th place, this would lead you to believe all records could be interchangeable from top to bottom. Only time will tell. |

He\'s the only one I\'ve seen that put ATL in a non-winning season. Which fits the mold, actually, as they haven\'t had back-to-back winning seasons in their franchise history.

I think Atlanta will break the \"never win back to back season\" thing. I feel they will much better than 8-8. In fact I worry more about facing Atlanta twice than I do Tampa twice. Atlanta is the only team in our division that worries me. I have respect for all teams in our division but \"worry about Atlanta the most. Carolina is still a unknown in my opinion as they have a good defense but lack offense which should improve from last years team so they are a unknown. Atlanta has the Saints number and has had our number for years now. This is the team we need to circle on our calendars...WE OWE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
