Interesting up to the minute depth chart
Well not totally up to the minute because Ghent is now the #5 tight end and Boykin has been released:
New Orleans Saints - Depth Chart Notes: 1) Fred Thomas is now officially a backup. Interesting to see who'll be the nickle and who'll be the dime. 2) Clancy is one of the starting tackles. Hollis is officially a backup. 3) Interesting the Strief is the backup for both tackles. Goodwin is the backup for both center and RG. 4) Henderson (as we all knew) is the #2 receiver. Interesting to see who'll be #3 5) Stecker is the #1 kick returner. But I guess Moore will be out on the field with him. Anything else interesting? SFIAH |

Re: Interesting up to the minute depth chart
in my humble opinion I would like to see Moore and Pierre returning kickoffs and reggie on punts.

Re: Interesting up to the minute depth chart
It would have been nice to be deeper on the D-line...instead of all them d@&N Tight ends.

Re: Interesting up to the minute depth chart
My guess is that Payton's new schemes may incorporate alot more tight end than they did last year. Namely because we signed Eric Johnson. He may need quite a few TE, just to insure his investment on his scheming.

Maybe all of the TEs is just for the game against the Colts. I assume Payton has a plan, like last year with all of the safties.

Re: Interesting up to the minute depth chart
I think the only reason they're keeping Owens is for his blocking. He's the best of all of these tight ends at blocking. With one hurt and you never know about Johnson just yet with his getting hurt so often, it's better to have them and not need then than to need them and not have them. We can always cut some of them ib a week or two and bring in someone else from other teams cuts. Problem with that is, all the better players that have been cut are already being signed bt other teams. I saw where the Bucs just signed Trotter and Broncos signed Simon.
Whatever the case, I have faith in Payton and the coaching staff to do what they need to do. |

Re: Interesting up to the minute depth chart
I hope they do not use Stecker on kickoffs. He is slow and has no moves. I would use Moore and Thomas.
