Dungy compares Bush to Barry Sanders & Marshall Faulk!!
Colts coach Tony Dungy is impressed with Saints RB Reggie Bush. "He's like Barry Sanders," Dungy said in The Times-Picayune, "but he's more involved in the passing game, and he's in more positions and more places. Probably (former Colts and Rams back) Marshall (Faulk) is the best comparison of a guy who can catch the ball, hurt you in the passing game as well as running. He runs reverses and catches screens and catches the ball out of the backfield and lines up as a wide receiver. It's very similar to playing against Marshall."
(Updated 09/05/2007). I found this on my CBS Sportsline fantasy football web page... That's saying a ton for a guy who only played one year in the pros.. |
Rest In Peace JoeSam, thanks for everything my friend.

I've always felt the Marshall Faulk comparison fits him the best. Barry wasn't a threat receiving out of the backfield and Bush is much bigger than Barry. People also compare him to Gale Sayers a lot but I've never had to pleasure to watch him play.

Who? Sayers? I saw him on tv many times. He was something to see. But watching Reggie, it's just to hard to compare him to any one player. He's a mix of many. Reggie is just scarey to watch. He's really that good. I can't wait to see him in a year or two more. This young man will be one of a kind.
