Though the Saints did little to impress in their Aug. 5 Hall of Fame preseason opener with the Steelers, New Orleans looked fabulous in exhibition games two, three and four. Over that span, Drew Brees went 35-of-39 for 355 yards. He’s more than ready for Thursday night’s opener with the Colts. There are some minor injuries here and there, but New Orleans looks ready to make a run at the NFC title this season. Jason David and Usama Young will serve as upgrades to Fred Thomas at cornerback. New Orleans reached the NFC Championship Game last January and only got better over the offseason. They’re the preseason favorites to represent the conference in Glendale come February.
