As for defense David needs to step it up. He let 3 of those touchdowns through. You need to learn how to figure out what they're doing if they keep burning you. EDIT: P.S. punting on 4th and 1 in the 4th quarter down by 17 = 2 thumbs down |

Re: Thoughts...
Just what I was afraid of, laying down an egg in front of the national audience again.
Everytime we have the chance to shine vs a team that is considered a contender not the Dall,NYG, or Atl of the world that we should be beating, We fail dismally. Not to take anything away from the Colts, they are the Champs and they proved it. Very dissapointed in the play calling. It all started when we went for a 50 + yd field goal right after Madden was talking about how payton wanted to control the clock and field position. Outcoached, outplayed, Next Game please. |

Re: Thoughts...
I said it before and I'll say it again, "Is it too late to sign Carney?" Mare's missed field goal was not the difference in the game, but it was the difference between going in at half-time with the lead. I do not think that Mare is better than Carney, as evidenced by their stats from last year. Mare was 26/36 (80.9%) and 10/18 from 40+. Carney was 23/25 (92%) and 6/7 from 40+ yards.

There was so much to be disappointed about last night that it would be futile to list the myriad of issues exposed.
Just give'm brown jerseys and move this team to Cleveland. |

Re: Thoughts...
Hey, it is an improvement. Last time the Colts beat us by 34 points - this time by only 31.
At this rate we will beat the colts in 2114. |

Re: Thoughts...
Guys last night was a big letdown for us all and we all know that we expected much more. Our team did not perform well on either side of the ball and it appears that we made no progress at all in the secondary, especially by adding Jason David. Watching him play last night made think of the pain I suffered watch Fred Thomas all last season. We will not survive making tackles on running backs 5-7 yards downfield every play. Whatever the problems are on either side, we had better fix them and I mean fast! Nevertheless, even after last night's debacle, I remain a loyal Saints fan. Been one for 39 years. Last year felt damn good and I am not ready to let go of that feeling. It is casual day at work and I am in full Saints attire and looking forward to winning the NFC championship this year. Go Saints!

Re: Thoughts...
I am glad to see someone out there is decked out. Casual Day here in the office and I am rocking the authentic Bush jersey. Put the top down in the convertible and let everyone on the freeway see my Saints cap. I ain't giving up after one game, if its anything, lets get humbled now before we get humbled in December. Who Dat.
