Re: Drew Brees, Reggie Bush Inept.
Wow... that wasn't good
1. I had dejavu of the NFC championship game... we get down by one score and payton abandons the run in the first freakin' quarter after dominating with it on the first drive... 2. Fred Thomas, Jason David, Insert Name, etc... i'm now convinced it's not the corners' fault... where the hell is the deep help??? (Roman Harper did play a decent game when he was around the ball) 3. I thought this was a horrible performance, however the defense wasn't that terrible... you have to take into account that it is peyton manning and the colts, and they held them to 10 in the first half. things will be better, and i'm gonna glad they got their asses kicked so now they can officially put last year behind them and realize that just because they're everyone's superbowl pick, it's not gonna be given to them. |

Re: Drew Brees, Reggie Bush Inept.
Are you serious! Don't get me wrong the offense was TERRIBLE!! But that defense SUCKS!! We were lucky to be in that game early. More mistakes by the colts than anything. Can't stop the run...AGAIN! Simoneau absolutely SUCKS! We need to do somethin about them Slowazz LBs.
And Jason David...Lets try to be within 5 yards of the receiver. I found myself asking...why is Fred Thomas in street clothes. Now thats bad. Euphoria is right. Welcome back to reality. What is our reality. I know the offense will be better. But it concerns me that we don't even try to go down the field. What in the heck was wrong with Drew Brees...and Sean Payton. I'm Disgusted. TOTALLY! Oh Well...10 days til Tampa. |

Re: Drew Brees, Reggie Bush Inept.
The Saints WR's were covered up most of the game. How do they not get open more against the Indy corners? Yes, the Colts did put good pressure on Brees. There may be a change at WR soon. Perhaps Devery going back to the bench and Patten taking over?
The only good thing about this game is that it's early in the year, and against an AFC team. |

The defense scored our ONLY touchdown, why don't you compute that one. Not Drew, not Deuce, not Reggie, not Colston. It was Jason David! I don't blame the defense for giving up on the offense, I would've done the same thing. |

Re: Drew Brees, Reggie Bush Inept.
Our D-tackles were getting blown back and the linebacker play was pitiful. Simoneau is trying to make plays 5 - 7 yards downfield and he's a sucker for the play action. He should watch tape on the Colts' LB's - they pursued toward the runner. Shanle was more physical but out of the play in pass protection or getting blocked. Fujita was did a decent job but was aways having to drop back into his hook zone because of the Colts' sets they would come out with.
Jason David - put your hand up in the air and at least ACT like you're trying to defend the pass. Fred Toast Thomas is probably a better cover corner when he's healthy and in the beginning of the season (like the beginning of last year, before Cinci). The biggest problem with the defense -- the offense left them stranded and on the field way too much (can you say 3 and out?) |

Simoneau is so annoying. I can't even stand looking at him play. Payton has really lost alot of respect from me for 1. getting rid of Ninkovich, 2. not playing Simmons instead of Simoneau. |

Always next week though. Bring on Tampa. |
