I am curious to know everyones oldest memories of ths saints. Oldest memory I have is of sitting in the top deck of tulane stadium. Two games stand out in particular. These had to be around 1972 - 1973.
1. saints vs. 49ers. Late in the game archie hands off to rb up the middle and the rb gets stuffed at the line. Memorable part is the rb then pitches the ball back to archie and i think he scored on the play. 2nd oldest memory is of a game agaisnts the eagles at tulane. I remmber RB Howard runnig down the sideline for a bomb and giving a diving attempt to make the catch. The pass was just off his fingertips. This was right in front of the jazz band that played at the goal line. Curious of others old time memories. |
