this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I got this from Sportsline.com: Failing Grady? The Saints are preparing for the possibility defensive tackle Grady Jackson will retire. Jackson has spent the offseason away from the team's practice facility, which has not endeared him to the coaching staff. ...

If a player retires, he forfeits the remainder of his contract.

Grady To Retire!!!
This guy is a huge disappointment, what a waste! There are not any other quality DT out there now, unless the Skins stick to there threat to cut Dan Wilkinson. A in shape motivated Grady Jackson and none of this is a problem. If this guy does tank I sure hope Kenny Smith is for real.

Grady To Retire!!!
Grady Jackson is way to \"FAT\", I think if he can get down to about 330, he could win the startind job back.

I agree gator- I was really counting on Grady to get his act together and be the starting DT alongside Sullivan. I\'m sorry, but I don\'t see Sullivan/Smith keeping the O-line off Ruff, and he might end up playing worse than any of us could have predicted.

Grady To Retire!!!
Anyone remember Martin Chase? He had some quality games last year. This could be just the chance he has been waiting for. This is the guy who may suprise everyone and really step up his game.

Lionel Dalton....has onyone signed him? He definitely keeps the blockers off the linebackers and we need the run support.

Grady To Retire!!!
i thought if a player retired early then the team had to put them on some kind of retired player list and they still tooak a small cap hit, like with deion, he retired but still belonged to the skins up until last year and i thought they took a hit for him too
maybe i just don\'t have enough brain cells left to support long term memory recall properly anymore |
