Gruden and Garcia`s comments for week 2
A portion from WWL`s sports reporter Gus Kattengell;
Tampa Bay head coach John Gruden says the 41-10 loss to the Colts did not show him the real Saints and that he still believes the Black and Gold are a very talented team. “Every once and a while, no matter who you are, you’re going to have a game where it doesn’t work out maybe the way you’d envisioned or you had hoped,” said Gruden. “This is a tough league and there are a lot of good teams out there. The other has good players also. They’ve had a few extra days to get well and get ready and I’m sure we’ll get their best shot on Sunday.” New starting quarterback Jeff Garcia says he’s so convinced that the true Saints have yet to show this season that he’s studying game tape from a year ago. “I can’t even watch that game to really get a true feeling of what I’m going to see on Sunday because everybody plays Indianapolis differently,” said Garcia. “We’re going to more so focus on things in the past and what I’ve experienced personally and that’s truly what the real Saints are all about. It’s not a matter of what they did last Thursday because that’s not indicative of this team.” |

Re: Gruden and Garcia`s comments for week 2
Politically correct and its safe. It keeps their people focused and on task. I hope that Sean and company looked at last weeks tape...over and over and over again. I hope they tied the team down, toothpicked their eyes open and made them look at it unitl it hurt. Hopefully to light a fire under somebody to make some plays.

(New Orleans Saints - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Jon Gruden Q and A)
I was reading this Gruden interview on neworleanssaints.com earlier, and I still can't rap my brain around this comment he made in his opening statement: "I don’t know that Carnell Williams will or will not practice yet." I myself feel pretty confident that he will or will not practice... I'm guessing that upto that moment he did not know whether or not he would practice on that day... My brain hurts... |
