Re: former saint to make return???
I hope he does go to an AFC team and we meet him in the Superbowl. Besides, they (AFC) need another distraction to make it even with the rest of it.

I would welcome him back with open arms. I was not that upset with him when he was here. I thought his overall game improved here. At the price we could get him I would take a look.

Re: former saint to make return???
What as a player I really have no problems with the kid.
He mentaly could not handle what Ditka and Saints did to him in the media. Bad Scouting. Once here what did he have? A SH*T Team, a crazy coach and screwed up front office. But you have say his overall game improved every year he was here. If you don't you have some homework to do. Once out of here he did great. As for his personal life I want a him monitored 24//7. Do they make a monitor to attach to him that works like an ankle braclet? lol Besides he has a clean police record. If the commish gives him the OK I say OK. He did his time for the crime. Same with Vick. For NFL min I would call him up. For look See. Who knows maybe the City of New Orleans is a ghost that haunts the guy. Do I see it happening? nah If the commish bans him for life I am ok with that too |

Re: former saint to make return???
I could care less about what Ricky's doing off the field. He not cheating by using HGH or Roids, hurting animals or video taping stuff. The guy is almost Michael Jackson weird, but whatever...he could tote the mail. I'd give him a look. If he's half as good now as he was when he left, he's way better than Stecker.

Re: former saint to make return???
He'll probably end up with the Packers. They're desperate for a runningback. Might be worth a look in fantasy football.

Re: former saint to make return???
I can certainly understand some of the feelings towards Williams, however as it was stated before, when Ricky was with the Saints, he had a screwed up FO, and HC not to mention the undo pressure put on his as the saviour to the franchise. Since that time, I believe that he has grown up. Sure there is the issue about his drug use, however unless you handed him the ball while telling him that there was a bowl of chessy-puffs in the end-zone, I don’t think marijuana can be seen as a performance enhancer.
I was fortunate enough to see him play for the Toronto Argos. During his time in Toronto, there was not a hint of discipline problems, and he even became a leader both on and off the field. He wasn’t always playing as the feature RB, and played as a blocking RB for much of his time here, but at no time did he complain about his role. Additionally, he never showed the neurotic personality during interviews that was a predominate part of the media during his time in New Orleans. I personally think that he is a changed player from when he was first drafted, and he will add a quality player to any team that’s willing to take him. |
