Indy & TBay: They scored, We didn't
31 & 28 unanswered points. We were never competitive in either game. Something is so very wrong that Coach Payton must know what the fix is. Do you? Is is Jamal Brown? Jason David? Devery Henderson? Drew Brees? Answer: None of the above. It's something systematic on both sides of the ball...something that's different from last year (but don't say Joe Horn - it's something that matters).

Its our damn lines... its the defense we use. Its everyone and everything... when you get blown out back to back and especially to TB, you suck and its everything.

"We Suck" is a horrible way to analyze anything. I'm tired of seeing/hearing it. It makes no sense. Oh, all of a sudden our players lost all of their talent and they now suck?
1) The Saints aren't a surprise anymore. Coaches have studied them all Summer. 2) Yeah, maybe Joe was old, but he CAUGHT a lot of balls and helped SUSTAIN a lot of drives at key times. We have no receiver that's stepping up to do that. 3) The team, itself, needs to play a game in front of it's home crowd. They haven't had one since they played the Eagles in the playoffs. And, no, preseason doesn't count... that's not inspiring. Solutions would include: coaches developing new and improved gameplans, players performing well in clutch situations, and the team playing like it wants to win... instead of just playing a football game that they're expected to win. If they can't do that, then they have no chance. I'm sorry, but "We Suck" will not suffice. |

Re: Indy & TBay: They scored, We didn't
I did not watch the games. I've seen the "highlights" and viewed the stats so my input may be moot.
Simply put, I believe that the Saints secondary is trash. Big plays given up every where. I have no answer as to how to fix this terrible secondary. Offensively it seems simple; give the football to Deuce McAllister. 10 rush average in the first 2 games? Ludicrous. I believe that the Bucs are better than most people think and thought that this game would be much better than it was. Oh well. 0-2. On to next week. |
