Blame it on the O-Line Again

Say what you want about the Defense costing us games. I don't care. No, they're not good, but they are not the difference this year.

The difference is the O-Line. They have yet to play a good game. Their run blocking is getting worse by the game and their pass blocking absolutely stinks. Brees is getting no time and therefore the WRs don't have time to get open down field. Stinchcomb has been pathetic, but that hasn't stood out because the others have been only a shade better, if any. Even Jamal Brown has regresses from his Pro Bowl season.

Say what you want about any other position on the team, but "it all starts up front" and they suck, suck, suck.

I'm writing this before the end of the game and we may win, but that doesn't change a thing for me. If the O-line doesn't get better, we might as well get used to losing.

I was thinking the same thing. My high school team can run through this line.

We can't stop anything and we damn sure can't give Brees enough time to develop anykind of offensive rythmn

I couldn't agree more. Drew Brees has had absolutely not time to throw the ball. I'm getting so disgusted. You also have to look at the defense though. Everyone who talks about the defense blames the secondary for their troubles. However, I don't think it's the secondary. It's the front seven. Opposing quarterbacks have had all day to pick apart the secondary. How many sacks does the D-Line have this year? I believe that number is ZERO! Now that is what you call pathetic. And how about an interception returned for a touchdown for a nail in the coffin. The offense has given up almost as many points as the defense. What is going on this year? Should I be getting the paper bag and scissors ready?

Re: Blame it on the O-Line Again

I am glad everyone FINALLY starting to see what I have seen for years about this damn team. YOU BUILD ON THE LINES. We got by last year but now the weakness has been exposed. Our lines O and D suck.

Re: Blame it on the O-Line Again

I have an idea! Lets draft Robert Meachum. And injured riddled decent college WR who should have stayed in college one more year when we really need defensive player or O-line help. Or lets get rid of Joe Horn the leader of our team because he's on the downside of his career. No No I got it! Lets sign Brian Simmons just to warm the bench for a totally horrible excuse for an NFL linebacker Mark Simoneau. Then lets sign Jason David who has never played Man to Man in his life!!!! We're super bowl bound baby!!! I'm totally disgusted right now

Re: Blame it on the O-Line Again

Both lines...equally as bad. 34 total yards rushing. Terrible pass blocking that caused Brees to get rattled even when he did have a few seconds to make his delivery. Still zero sacks on the other side. I hope Duece gets healthy and gets rolling or its going to be a long long long long season.
