Carolina game; attendance low for last 3 seasons?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; its almost a bad thing that we not only have a bye but our next game is at home. Anyone wanna guess how bad the attendance might be? 50,000 maybe? if anyone goes to the game (ok, Im optimistic there) ...

Carolina game; attendance low for last 3 seasons?

its almost a bad thing that we not only have a bye but our next game is at home. Anyone wanna guess how bad the attendance might be? 50,000 maybe? if anyone goes to the game (ok, Im optimistic there) let us know what you're guess is. NFL numbers (like those of ArenaFootball as well) are not "actual" but paid. case in point: I'm sure many of you saw carolina at at Atlanta yesterday. Capacity there is 71,250. You all know damn well there wasn't no 68,175 there as is on the official stats. http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamece...L_Gamebook.pdf
Looked more like high 50s at best. any ATL fans on here who attend their games, please weigh in. So, point of sorta is after the Carolina game if we see 68,600 ,etc as attendance, I'd be quite surprised if it was even close to that in actuality. This could get bad. Whats worse and as much I love the Saints, we all know that often a city's sports franchises and their success or in this case, lack thereof as even ESPN guys (Kornheiser especially) talked about, reflect on the city. And that makes me real mad, b/c I love my city more than the Saints and that saddens and upsets me that the Saints do this to us as franchise for so long. Almost causes me to lose pride in NOLA, but I wont let it happen. San Antonio, LA, do yall really STILL want this team?

redwolf- Great point you make. The NFL is full of fair weather fans especially in the south. There are many fans who will pay the money and not show up. I will guarantee you this, if the Saints keep playing bad, and they just might, you will see a "sold out" Superdome with about 30 thousand fans or so. It was basically the same way in Tampa last year, they sold all of their games out but maybe had about half show up, especially during the end of the season.

and now my fave Saint. Deuce may out for season? Im no longer mad, Im near tears. How MUCh can one guy do for his team and his adopted city and always have to sit back while others (Reggie esp, Drew, and even Colston and to a small degree Pierre Thomas and Pittman in preseason) gte the glory (commercials/ads,etc). Now to have this happen to him all b/c his damn QB throws the ball too damn high which in turn was b/c HIS (Bree's) O-line couldn't give Brees time? There is no justice in this sport. Almost as bad as what Archie endured. To think as Bobby is saying now, this could be it for the Deuce in the Black and Gold. thanks for the comment, too.

It seems that there may be alot of fans there, so they can see Reggie start his first game.

I predict 65,000. With the week off people will miss football and show up. The season is still young. Maybe the Saints get it together with the break and start playing better. We can beat Carolina if we can get some confidence.

Maybe those fans should stay away. give the tickets to true fans. I will beat they are the same group that was booing by the second quarter. We do not need them

Good point, Redwolf. This could be the last time we see Deuce in a Saints uniform. Or maybe the Saints are tanking on purpose in preparation for a move to another city .... whatever it is, it is pretty ugly right now.
