this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; its almost a bad thing that we not only have a bye but our next game is at home. Anyone wanna guess how bad the attendance might be? 50,000 maybe? if anyone goes to the game (ok, Im optimistic there) ...

Carolina game; attendance low for last 3 seasons?
its almost a bad thing that we not only have a bye but our next game is at home. Anyone wanna guess how bad the attendance might be? 50,000 maybe? if anyone goes to the game (ok, Im optimistic there) let us know what you're guess is. NFL numbers (like those of ArenaFootball as well) are not "actual" but paid. case in point: I'm sure many of you saw carolina at at Atlanta yesterday. Capacity there is 71,250. You all know damn well there wasn't no 68,175 there as is on the official stats. http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamece...L_Gamebook.pdf
Looked more like high 50s at best. any ATL fans on here who attend their games, please weigh in. So, point of sorta is after the Carolina game if we see 68,600 ,etc as attendance, I'd be quite surprised if it was even close to that in actuality. This could get bad. Whats worse and as much I love the Saints, we all know that often a city's sports franchises and their success or in this case, lack thereof as even ESPN guys (Kornheiser especially) talked about, reflect on the city. And that makes me real mad, b/c I love my city more than the Saints and that saddens and upsets me that the Saints do this to us as franchise for so long. Almost causes me to lose pride in NOLA, but I wont let it happen. San Antonio, LA, do yall really STILL want this team? |
