coach Sean Payton held a news conference Monday

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hope Reggie will be a star. I thought everyone wanted Jason gone? Watch what you ask for. And I assume they know who best to put out there....

Young at CB. Simmons at MLB. Bellamy over Bullocks. Strief over Stinchcomb. Run Reggie. Meachem over Copper.

That's the Army's slogan. The Marines is "The Few. The Proud. The Marines."

I thought it was "kill them all and let God sort 'em out".

I agree with Cruize's post. It's time to find out what Usama can do as a starter, since we already know what Fred Thomas can't do.

What have we got to lose at this point? It's time for some experimentation.

This will be a gut check for this entire team. One of the leaders of this team is out, and not just "someone" has to step-up....but this entire team will need to step-up.

Some people on here maybe questioning Drew, but as far as I am concerned, he is steping up and admitting he is not playing well. A.B. NEVER did that.

Wow! I can't wait for Usama Young to get the start. It should be really rich when he lines up against Steve Smith for the first time. Smith might have an all NFL day in two weeks.

Watching film and talking to other CB on the team will help solve Young's "first time" whoas. I don't know for sure but I don't think Vince Young threw towards Usama when he was in the game........

I have no worries with Young. It's not like he could do any worse than David has done already. Plus, it's not like this is the first time he has played this position before.

The thing I like about Usama Young is that he's young and athletic. He can make up for alot of mistakes with some talent and size. The other thing I like about him is that Fred Thomas is going to start - not him. What a tragedy. Who knows what kind of player he is until he's given an opportunity to start a game. Same goes for Brian Simmons and K.K...I didn't even see Kaesviharn in oh goal line situations (where he picked off Brees to seal the game last year). All in all, I'm not interested in going 8-8, I don't care if we go 3-13 - I just want Payton to start experimenting with some of the players we picked up in the offseason. This is obviously not the 2006 team, so why should we try to hold it in tact when we already see the results. Play the acquisitions, give em' playing time and let em develop for next year.
