Re: Deuces last day?
I hope Duece retires and goes into coaching. He is a class act and a bright face for the city and the organization. I'd hope they would offer him a spot somewhere in the organization! After 2 serious knee injuries, one to each knee, I'd hate for him to mortgage his future health with another comeback attempt. Either way, I feel his playing days in NO are over, with $$$ being the #1 factor.

Saints Statement on Deuce McAllister
NewOrleansSaints.com Thursday, September 27, 2007 - 7:30 PM New Orleans Saints Statement on Deuce McAllister New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister had a procedure Thursday to repair the torn ACL in his left knee. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama. During the procedure, Dr. Andrews also cleaned up Deuce’s right knee that had been repaired following a torn ACL in October 2005. The surgeries were successful and Deuce is in good spirits and recovering well. Individual Statements: Deuce McAllister: “I’m eager to begin the rehab process and to get back with my teammates as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone for all of the prayers and well wishes that I’ve received this week.” Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis: “We are very pleased to hear that Deuce’s surgery went well today. We’re confident that his rehabilitation will go well and everyone in the Saints organization is looking forward to having Deuce back on the field in a Saints uniform in 2008." Saints Head Coach Sean Payton: “I spoke with Deuce this evening and was very encouraged by the report. We can’t wait to have Deuce back here with us. He’s a major part of our team and getting him back in the locker room will be a lift for us all.” |

Re: Deuces last day?
Deuce is going to come back, take a pay cut and assume his duties as a productive player and a well respected community figure for the New Orleans Saints, PERIOD!
