calling out the DE's
The strength of our team defense was supposed to be Grant and Smith. I have watched all 3 games and from my view Smith has at least sniffed the QB. He has been held more than a newborn baby in all 3 games. Grant for his big money contract has been nowhere near a sack.
Is this simply because our seconday cant cover a floor with a rug? What are your thoughts??? |

Re: calling out the DE's
I think you are right our DE's aren't earning there money. First and for most a lot of battles are really won in the trences so until we fix our damn D-line it doesn't really matter what the CB's do. The first priority should be stopping the run and getting pressure on the QB. That helps the CB's. You can't ask the CB's to cover a WR for a day and a half... they will get open (its just unrealistic).
It all starts up front! I don't think DE's is the or should be the key's to a D. Its should be the DT. Force teams to double the DT and you are going to create missmatches for the DE and LB's and even blitzing CB's. We don't have any pressure at all from anywhers. DT STUD is what we need. Re: calling out the DE's
well after reading it's the o-line, it's the d-line in about fifty posts....
although i think neither our lines nor the seconday are top ten calibre i still fault the playcalling way too predictable on offense and way too much man to man on defense yes its nice to have dominant lines on both sides of the ball but i still think good playcalling can find a way to win with less |
