Win against Carolina
It all starts with Jake Delhomme being out. On Fox Sports radio today they said that John Fox said that Delhomme's elbow may require surgery. If it may require surgery then that means we face David "Gloves" Carr, and after watching him this past weekend I am confident that we can win this one.

Delhomme?

but the question still remains is Delhomme going to be out? |

Re: Win against Carolina
Man o Man,
Thank God for the bye week. We get time to get things in order. Tampa loses their star RB (and they only have 1) and LT. Carolina loses Delhomme so the chemistry with Smith should be affected. Saints beat Carolina and we could be sitting very good in our division. The Bucs are going to lose momentum and Garcia is going to get hurried. A. Smith is out for now with SF so the Seahawks are the only healthy and strong team we face in the next 4. Wins against Carolina, Atlanta, and SF with a loss to Seattle puts us at 3-4 with a 2-1 division record. Beating Seattle would put us at 4-3 with 2-1 in the division. The Saints are still very much in this! |

Re: Win against Carolina
well from what I have found out he will not be the starter with or with out surgery
so either way it's good news for us or should be anyway |

Re: Win against Carolina
Fox said last week that surgery has to be done, either now, later in the season or at the end of the year...

Re: Win against Carolina
The D-line should take avantage of Carr since Delhomme may be out.

With Delhomme being out and Carr starting this could spell good things for us After watching him last season with Houston Carr has consistently shown that he is easily rattled under pressure and will try to force the ball into places that it should not be. So provided our defensive secondary can put themselves into position for the pick we may see some turnovers but that does mean that our defensive line especially Smith and Grant must steep it up a notch with getting pressure on him from both the inside and the outsides But considering this I’m sure that the Carolina coaching staff is well aware of Carr’s shortcomings so I look for them to run the ball more then the saints are expecting |

I am going to look at this game a bit more realistic. I think you'll see Carolina's D-line step in this week and win. We don't play at all well after a bye week. I don't think Carr is going to win them the game but our D may very well make him look good.

Re: Win against Carolina
I'm tellin ya, this team can win! They just need to get off their dead asses and play football. These guys aren't as bad as they're playing. A REAL leader needs to step up on offense and defense and get these guys moving. This bunch is still living off last year and believing all the hype put out in the media. I hope to God taht after the butt whipping they got maybe, just maybe they'll wake up and play.
