RB Quinton Smith, Rice, Signed to PS
Full-time starter the past two seasons when he was awarded All-Conference honors. Rushing totals last season included 211/1,096/10 when he also added 40/410/2 catching the ball. Junior numbers included 140/902/5 on the ground.
Pos: Undersized yet hard-running ball carrier best in a straight line. Displays good vision, finds the running lanes and patiently waits for blocks to develop. Runs with good lean, possesses a terrific burst of speed and quickly gets through the hole. Makes defenders miss in a small area. Neg: Improved his pass catching last season yet still a bit inconsistent in that area. Significantly slows down when he must immediately change direction.
