this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I wish P. Thomas would have gotten more carries. Also looks like we should throw more Lance Moore's way, he gets seperation and never drops any passes....

Re: Thomas and Moore
Copper missed one in his hands, but Devery missed 6. I am becoming a huge Lance Moore fan. He will replace Devery next year. Was Patten still injured? I thought he would get more looks. I saw one pass thrown towards him and he broke up an interception.

Re: Thomas and Moore
Lance Moore is tough. I have been singing his praises since I first laid eyes on him. He catches everything thrown his way. He even adjusts his routes to make the catch - very rare. He's quick and fast, gets good separation, and his return/open-field awareness makes him dangerous after the catch. He is one of the FEW Saints bringing it every week. He has earned the right to get more looks - and so has Karney for that matter. He is good at what he does and isn't being utilized, especially to help Reggie break into the secondary with some forward momentum. Don't know what's up with Henderson...did his girlfriend leave or something?

As you watched today did you look on the other side of the ball and see resemblence between Steve Smith and Moore- I really do. I think he could be like S.S. |

Re: Thomas and Moore
Exactly - winmill1. Moore catches with his hands - not in his bread basket where it can be easily broken up. Jerry Rice/Chris Carter like - and has the size, strength, and speed of Steve Smith. He's exciting and should get more opportunities to make plays. Lord knows we need something/somebody to get excited about.

Re: Thomas and Moore
BREES, let's not forget the main culprit!
He makes the reads, he makes decisions with the football, he makes the throws. Devery only gets a certain amount of chances to catch a ball. Minus the bad throws, he missed maybe 1 crucial catch. But how many times did Brees make the wrong decisions, poor throws, and the wrong reads? Somebody needs to grab this team, coach included and shake em'. |

Re: Thomas and Moore
I thought Brees threw better today. I could be wrong but I think the receivers dropped more passes than Drew threw bad. It seemed like they dropped passes all day. But they were not on the same page-since before the Nfc Championship. But I cannot get over how much Moore reminds me of a young Steve Smith. The toughness, the hands, the speed, the size. It is scary how good this kid could be.

Re: Thomas and Moore
If Meachem can get his act together we would have a great receiving corps with Meachem, Moore, Colston. They have the youth to be together for a long time.
