Why is anyone surprised???
We over achieved last year and it was obvious when we played against teams that dominate and control the line of scrimmage. We have opted to draft someone who has NEVER been a feature every down RB and failed to take the time it takes to build and work on the line of scrimmage.
We over pay D players who make promises that can't back it up (ask for a refund!). Put the blame on anyone or anywhere you like but I have been saying it for years its the damn lines and they failed to block again! HORRIBLE. Watch the game over and over and you'll see O-Line men standing around watching the game or moving out of the way of the play in stead of sticking a helmet on someone down field. FINALLY (hopefully), we can address this for the next couple of years and build a football team for a change. I am totally not surprised at all. What I was surprised about was last year. |

Who was the person who said "Don't worry about Mare"?
I was not in the least surprised by the out come. Hell, I told my 3 year old was going to happen. The coaches did nothing to help this team in the off season. Boy-o-boy do they suck right know. Still waiting for 7 losses before I call it a season. |

Re: Why is anyone surprised???
Bush isn't the problem, the problem is with the line making holes for him and with the passing game playing awful it doesn't help Bush, I'm not going to put all of the blame on Bush, I blame the coaches, brees and the offensive line, the defense held the panthers to only 13 points, not a bad they for the defense...
The entire offense is in a melt down right now and I don't see them getting better anytime soon. |

Re: Why is anyone surprised???
Bush looked like the only one who even showed up to play the game, even with all that piss-poor blocking. I don't know why you guys are ragging on him so hard.

Re: Why is anyone surprised???
It's kind of hard to run the ball when you start the play off with linebackers already in the backfield. However, Bush does tend to run away from contact, even at the expense of going straight out of bounds in the backfield for a loss of yards. He's obviously too lightweight for linebackers in the NFL. They hit him and it looks like they're tackling a rag doll.

Re: Why is anyone surprised???
At the moment, Bush is the man - he just needs to be put in the right place to make plays. With the poor play of the O-Line, it kills me that Sean doesn't lead him with Karney. Bush can't turn the corner in this league, he has to break into the secondary, off guard or tackle, 2-3 times a game with a head of steam. Karney gives Bush the best chance to do that. Mike K should also get a few more carries...he's a good blitz blocker and has good hands out of the backfield. Sean doesn't seem to be using his talent very well. Non-performers and slackers need to get benched in favor of some guys who are willing to leave it on the field.

Re: Why is anyone surprised???
Hey all you have to do around here is say the name reggie bush and the the very next couple of people think you are bashing him. HOW HILLARIOUS!
THATS WHAT I AM SAYING: You can have all the toys you want but unless you get some Tonka Trucks to play in the dirt you are going to become irrealivant! 0-4. I don't think Bush needs any defending in this thread. But what is funny everyone who went out there and got his jersey thinking he is going to be the savior without really building a football team... this is your bed now lay in it. Give me an offensive line and a D and we can have most anyone at RB and do a good job. |

Of course you can't blame him but he isn't the answer is he? No, the answer is to draft top Linemen and get a player that can role play once you get the base - the core of your team in the trenches. You just don't go out and get a Oline it takes you 2-3 or more drafting and get FA and get them going. |
