The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
The Good:
The D-Line played their best game of the year. 90% of the RB carries were tackled by a D-linemen. They still didn't cause much of pressure but decent none the less. Jason Craft. This guy played his butt off and showed he deserves to start in front of Jason David. The Bad: Drew's tentative arm. Something is wrong and the team is not saying. His balls had no zip and he refuses to throw the ball down the field. The referees.Man I counted 6 bad calls. Fortunately most of those calls swung our way but still bad. The Ugly: Devery Henderson had 3 drops. Colston had 1, Patten had 2, and Kerney had 1. Most of those drops would have gone for big yardage. Devery continues to prove he cant cut it week after week. We get blinded by 1 or 2 long catches and tend to forget the 2 3rd and long catches up the middle that hit him in the shoulder week after week. Think about how different the game would have been if Devery caught that skinny post for 25 yards, or we would have gotten 6 on the Kerney endzone reception that was called back for a technicallity, or the Colston TD reception that he always catches (but couldnt seem to hold on), or the 3rd down Kerney fall down that was an automatic first down. Its evident that the entire team has accepted the losing mindset.I see Grant celebrating making a 2nd down tackle that still yielded 6 yards, I see the wobbly ball leave Drew's hand and routes that never seem to go more than 4 or 5 yards, I see a coach that has no faith in allowing our kicker to tie the game with a chip shot which causes us to go for it on 4th and 3. Im convinced something is in the water that has affected the entire team. |

The Good:
I thought Brian Simmons looked good out there. Our front seven stuffed Foster and Williams all game long. We gave up 0 sacks and Brees had much more time to throw. I liked what I saw of Stecker out there. We finally got a sack and Mike got a pick. Granted it was David Carr, but our secondary looked good. The Bad: I'm with you on Brees. It was good we finally got a sack, but it's bad we still have no pass rush. We're paying our ends a lot of money and we have nothing to show for it. On a couple of screens, we could have had better blocking from our interior line. The Ugly: Olindo Mare and Devery Henderson. Need I say anything about those two? Our inability to execute and put points on the board given good field position. |

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
The GOOD: We lost there isn't any.
THE BAD: We lost. The UGLY: The Saints are back! A lose is a lose no matter how you justify it a lose is a lose. A game the Saints should have one and didn't. The O line and D line won the game for the Pathers. Unless you want to say Carr is better than Brees? We lost because the blocking was POOR. There were many Saints players or guys dressed in Saints uniform posing to be football players not blocking, not engaging in blocks. These are the players we need to call out not trying to justify the over all game but the scores and stats. Trying to defend key -markee players for not winning the game... it was the line play that cost us the game. 60 minutes not 4 seconds lost us the game. |

Good: Defensive line play on running plays. But, no pressue again.
Bad: Brees has qb rating of less than 60 for four games in a row. Where is the call for his replacement? Drops by WR/RB's. Play calling. Ugly: Mare. We got him to do kick-offs, now our punter is doing it and he can't make a 20 yarder. |

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
H. Thomas played well. P. Thomas will make some plays and looks good as a returner. Bush did well and will improve. Moore should be the #2 WR. Mckenzie is a very good CB. The division is very weak and even at 0-4 the Saints actually have a shot.
The #2 CB spot should be given to Young because it's impossible to be worse than F. Thomas. The LB's are horrible. The play calling is bad. The kicker should be cut. The Saints are 0-4. |
