this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I hope so! Can't confirm, but I hope someone is in camp kicking field goals - and making them. Mare makes you learn how to be grateful for 3's. Cowgirls are still undefeated because of a few good 3's....

Re: Is it true?!?!?
lol and this is the position that needs to be replaced above all else
is this head coach for real????? or is he smoking crack or maybe he is high on meth I'm not real sure but I think this team can use linemen long before a kicker What a joke now I think I’m starting to see where the problem with this team is |

Best Foot Forward
Embattled Saints kicker Olindo Mare on Monday accepted responsibility for two missed field goals Sunday that might have been the difference between victory and defeat. But with immediate uncertainty regarding Mare's groin injury and his erratic play, the Saints will audition at least three more kickers today. League sources indicated Mike Vanderjagt, the most accurate kicker in National Football League history and someone whom the Saints worked out in March, is among those scheduled to work, as is former Dallas and Tampa Bay kicker Martin Gramatica. The agent for former Saints kicker Billy Cundiff confirmed Cundiff's scheduled workout. Saints Coach Sean Payton said the team plans to work out a group of players today, some for practice squad help. He would not specify which positions. Re: Is it true?!?!?
well if they look at several positions then I will retract that statement
but if all we are looking at is a kicker then we have bigger problems I will admit he missed the kicks but I did see the panthers getting some good penetration at the line during the kicks and that concerns me more then the missed kicks |

Re: Is it true?!?!?
I heard that there are over twenty player's on Saints drive auditioning for the Saints, I don't know for what positions, but from the way they have been playing, you can bet there's a few WRs, RBs, LBs, Linemen O and D, we all ready know there's a bunch of kickers. At lest he's trying to fix his mistakes instead of pretending they don't exist.
