Comments from Dale Carter included him saying he intended to take on a leadership role on the team this year and with what he has been through he can share the on the field experiences and the off the field experiences with the younger guys for guidance. He also said he is comfortable on the island by himself playing man to man and is in the best shape of his carreer. He thinks the secondary will be talented and improved this year with more depth as a unit.
