My game ball goes to Eric Johnson
What a solid game by our free agent signee! Not only did he snag a touchdown, but on the same drive he dovein between four defenders to grab a fumble. I honestly thought that fumble was good as lost. He also has great hands. If this offense gets clicking, he could be a probowl te for us!

Great signee!

Re: Eric johnson

Eric really stepped it up last night, I want to see him in the game a lot from now on...
Sure handed and can block.

Re: Eric johnson

That's the reason we signed him in the first place, I just hope they try and throw to him more down field, he's only averaging 6.1 yards a catch. If opposing defenses want to bottle up our receivers on the outside than we should be working EJ in the middle and up the seam. I thought when we signed him, he was going to be our Antonio Gates, he definitely has the skills to be that type of weapon for us.

Re: Eric johnson

Having Patton and Johnson will make for some easier 3rd down conversions I think, both catch very well, they'll make it a little easier on Brees on long 3rd down situations.

Re: Eric johnson

Its not just you Gummbo, we did have a lot of 3rd and longs. We got away with it, but we can't KEEP putting ourselves in that situation every week. We had several good grabs to get us through, Johnson was a big part of that along with Patton and Moore. A few drops here and there (no names), and the tide will turn.

I like the two TE set, EJ good and Billy Miller looked pretty good also.

I hear you...but you gotta get Karney in there, too...we could just run the Goalline package all day though.
