I got a feeling that at some point during the season this kid is going to have a lot of people eating crow.

Re: any news on Meachum

JOESAM gets credit for calling Pierre Thomas. Papz gets credit for calling Josh Bullocks. I think Jkool got Colston right.
When the time comes, I want credit for saying that Robert Meachem is the next stud wide receiver for the Saints. He's got velvet smooth hands.
He ranked fourth in the nation with an average of 99.9 yards per game receiving and ranked 24th nationally with 5.46 receptions per game. He led the team with a career-high 71 catches for a school season-record 1,298 yards (18.3 avg)
Not since the days when Carl Pickens (1989-91) and Alvin Harper (1987-90) terrorized opposing defenses have the Volunteers had a player at the receiver position that can change the tide of the game better than Robert Meachem.

He is a rookie so there was no reason the believe that he would play alot. Rookies are there for the future. And he and Colston will make a great starting WRs duo in the future. I did hear the general manager say that he is healthy now, but he has good players ahead of him.

I'll take my crow on a po-boy, dressed. Show me something. Make him go down on special teams and tackle somebody, something.

Re: any news on Meachum

We should have addressed a different need with that pick. I wasn't happy with that pick and moving up in the fourth to pick Pittman.
What's done is done and since Meachem is on the team I'll be cheering for him and hoping that he'll be a good player for the Saints.

I'll vote with you on this on Ice. Once this kid is healthy, I think he's gonna surprise these guys. But you know them, Hurry, hurry, hurry. Never enough. A Lot of the members go to the Euph school of patience.
