"Going into the play, they called the formation out and I was thinking to myself 'This could be the chance,'" Thomas said. "I have to do whatever I can to show this team, show these fans, show the coaches that I can perform. I hope I'm showing that I can be the guy that has his number called."

"He made the big run for us on the draw," Payton said. "He's a guy that I trust a lot with the football. He's smart. I thought it was a real good play he had with his touchdown. We'll continue to get him some more touches."
