Re: Pierre Thomas

I agree. Thomas has a Maurice Jones-Drew feel to him

I did see it. That was a great run. Did you see Pierre's run? He made a couple of nice cuts and broke a tackle at the end to score. All I am saying is I would like to see Thomas carry the ball more.

Reggie does seem to be petty good at getting in the end zone when you get close.

Re: Pierre Thomas

Here's some good Thomas quotes followed by an encouraging Payton quote:

"It feels great, I just really want to help this team win," Thomas said. "That's what I'm here for, to give the fans something to be excited about."
"Going into the play, they called the formation out and I was thinking to myself 'This could be the chance,'" Thomas said. "I have to do whatever I can to show this team, show these fans, show the coaches that I can perform. I hope I'm showing that I can be the guy that has his number called."
"He made the big run for us on the draw," Payton said. "He's a guy that I trust a lot with the football. He's smart. I thought it was a real good play he had with his touchdown. We'll continue to get him some more touches."

Looks like you were right JOESAM. You've said that this kid had great potential since training camp.

I saw something in this kid early on. He sure seems to be proving me right. But don't ask Euph, he'll swear it's a conspiracy.

Re: Pierre Thomas

I think both Reggie and Pierre should get more carries. Can we get some balance in da house??

Re: Pierre Thomas

I think Thomas should see up to ten plays during a game but Bush is the man for us, 4th down and 3 and we go for it, Falcons played Bush all the way only to see Brees run outside for the first down, Bush is the main threat on our offense.

Re: Pierre Thomas

I don't believe it's a matter of Pierre is better than Reggie or Reggie better than Pierre. I'm glad we have them both and I hope we can utilize their talents for the betterment of the team. Pierre may be better coming off the bench in certain situations, kinda like Devery had huge success coming off the bench last year, and just like he did today.

You say " Reggie doesn't score on that play", well probably not because the defense respects Reggie where ever he lines up, but in this case the draw play worked for Pierre mostly because he's not Reggie.

We're talking about a professional NFL franchise. You respect the players on the field or you lose. This isn't preseason anymore, we're all playing to win - whether that means stuffing no-name #23 or Reggie Bush. "oh it's Thomas, let's try not to tackle him and let him score"

Thomas seems to have "it" when it comes to being productive. If they're not going to respect #23, so be it, we'll just let him run wild ALL OVER THE PLACE.

He's a nice change-up with respect to Bush. Makes them both more effective, so I say all the better.
