Hollis Thomas > The Beast Is Back
Everybody have been getting their props on this forum except one very important part of the improved play of the D-Line. I would like to give the "BIG BANQUET" his props. Through six games big Hollis has 23 tackles and a sack, he has been putting constant pressure on the opposing QBs from the middle, at times looking unblockable. That's why it's just confusing as hell to me that Grant and Smith just have two sacks apiece. I know a few of you guys don't think that 23 tackles are not that much, but that is a hugh number from the DT position, Thomas 23 tackles puts him at or very close to the top for DTs. Below are the numbers of tackles by the starting D-Lines in our division including ours to give you an idea of how dominant Hollis Thomas has been through the first six games.
*Position,Name,Tackles,Sacks NEW ORLEANS DE Charles Grant 26___2.0* DT Hollis Thomas 23___1.0* DT Brian Young__16___1.0 DE Will Smith____21___2.0 TAMPA BAY DE Greg Spires 21__1.0 DT Chris Hovan 6__0.5 DT Jovan Haye 15__4.0 DE Gaines Adams 15__2.0 CAROLINA DE Julius Peppers 22__1.5 DT Maake Kemeatu 15__0 DT Keith Jenkins 8__1.0 DE Mike Rucker 15__0 ATLANTA DE Jamaal Anderson 16__0 DT Grady Jackson 16__1.0^ DT Jason Babineaux 6__2.0 DE John Abraham 12___5.0 *Charles Grant and Hollis Thomas are 1 and 2 in the division in tackles. ^Grady Jackson is no longer a Falcon. |

Re: Hollis Thomas > The Beast Is Back
I'm with you BS. And remember Clancy was taking the bulk of the snaps in the first two games.
Grant has had it going recently, too. It always takes him a minute to get the motor running, but once he's got it going...watch out. |
