What's wrong? Don't they like that incredible Phillip Rivers?

Haha!

They better get over it. AJ Smith made a huge mistake by letting Brees go and now Charger fans have to pay for his mistake.

Tomlinson is the one I really feel sorry for. He and Brees are best friends and he pleaded with managment not to let Brees go. Maybe LT will come here next and team up with Bush.

You know what is really funny they really wanted to get rid of Brees the fans here majority that I deal with here were more than happy with Rivers and wanted to send Brees out the door sooner than when it happened.

I don't think any SD fans should be concerned either way except that there management let Brees go over Rivers. I am a firm believer if it aint broke don't fix it and they won a lot of games but that didn't mean they were broke.

I don't think San Diego necessarily wanted to let Brees go, but they had to make a decision on Rivers. Brees was playing exceptionally well for them, but he did have a major injury. It was pretty obvious that Rivers needed a chance to either start for the Chargers or be traded. The Chargers made the best decision at that time to go with Rivers, and let Brees go. There was no guarantee that he would regain his form after that major injury to his throwing shoulder. If Brees does not get the torn shoulder, he would probably still be the guy in SD, and Rivers would probably be on another team.

Oh believe me its true. They weren't happy with him and you know me willing to debate the issues with them as anyone esle. I don't understand because he was winning games and for the most part did a damn fine job here. The problem is that he did struggled at times and had some bad moments and some bad games but not like you have to have a Manning or Brady. They just lost interest in him and felt he wasn't going to get them anywheres. They had no bases for there point of view just he sucked. But I guess we have the last laugh.

It's got to hurt, letting your player go, only to watch him later doing so -so- well for another team. That's got to hurt. So I sympathize with their fans a bit.

Hell, us being Saints fans, we should be able to empathize. I'm sure it's happened to us once or twice in our team history - or more. Or many more.

once or twice...

that has happened more times than I can count

but it's like they say what comes around goes around

there is no telling how a player will do with a different team and coaches surrounding them
they (nor us) are the first team to go through this and I can promise you they will not be the last
