Simmons???!!!
OK,
Simmons has come in at both OLB spots and had a hell of a game. And, he's a MLB! How is he not starting for Simoneau or Shanle full-time? I know we've gone over this, but to see him play well in another position has to show the coaches he needs to be starting. It makes no sense to me. Not starting Clark last year was kinda goofy with how well he played and now it's worse with Simmons. What the heck is going on? |

Re: Simmons???!!!
Simmons natural position is OLB, he was supposed to be our MLB. I think Mark Simoneau has no business on the team let alone the starting MLB, I'm a lost. At some point Payton's going to see the light and do the right thing, I hope. PAYTON PLEASE START SIMMONS AND CUT SIMONEAU!!!!!

Re: Simmons???!!!
Simmoneau would be a great back-up guy. Simmons has lost a step. We really need to find a A-One MLB in the draft or FA.

Re: Simmons???!!!
I probably do not know enough about what goes on to say if Simmons should start over Shanle or Simoneau, but Simmons has been rather impressive when playing. For a change, it's great to at least have some depth at LB. Simmons has filled in as needed, so far has been a great asset as a utility LB.

Re: Simmons???!!!
*sigh* Rootin' for them backups, eh?
I'm sorry, but I completely disagree with all of this "Simmons should start" talk. There is a differance between upgrading at linebacker (which, I agree, needs to happen), and just plugging in another guy. Simmons hasn't shown me anything to make me think he is an upgrade. |

Re: Simmons???!!!
Niko Koutouvides MLB. form seattle. He is a free agent after this year. From Purdue playing behind Lofa, he just hasn't gotten on the field that much.
Niko was a teammate of Drews at Purdue. |

Re: Simmons???!!!
Payton seems to have a Steckler-like crush on Simoneau. It looks like Simmons should start somewhere, I agree. Not sure why he isn't but, for now, I'm gonna have to assume Payton has his reasons.
