Re: CBS Network Idiots!
The entire game was broadcast here in the Monroe area. I lived in Jackson for a few years in the late 90's and saw them do that a few times. The change of games was probably only in the weaker Saints markets. I did not see the start of the Colts/Pats game because we finished watching the Saints game in this area.

isnt it a network thing.....they have to switch to the next game, because each game is alloted a certain amount of time...im pretty sure that happens to every game.....they have to switch to the next one....

We didn't get such a good treatment up here in NY, where Minnesota was crushing SD or Detroit was pulverizing Philly and we had to sit through each to the truly bitter end. I'd love to have seen Ocho-Stinko getting carted off. Better theatre than our alternatives.

Re: CBS Network Idiots!
I live in Raleigh now, since Katrina, using NFL Sunday Ticket in HD. And in response to your question - yes.... they dropped they game midway and put on the Bills game. I was "just a little" pissed off, as I'm sure you were as well.
Luckily for me, I was watching the game in real time, so I was able to change channels and find another copy of it playing on another channel. However.... had I not been home, i.e. recording it via the DVR for viewing later, then I would have been one VERY VERY upset camper. I don't know if it's the NFL that sucks, or the networks that suck, or if it's DirecTV that sucks (though I -do- know DirecTV sucks in general). But somebody definitely sucks. Preempting it like that without notification or warning? Everyone loves paying good money for turds, right? On a better note, I heard DirecTV's monopoly on football is finally (at last) coming to an end. I heard the fight between cable networks and DirecTV is finally coming to a head, that cable will finally be allowed to air the Sunday ticket in another year or two. I devoutly and sincerely hope that information is accurate. DirecTV's monopoly all these years has been a complete travesty. |
can anyone help me id this tune? it goes thwap thwap boom tch boom tch boom tch.
